Winter is the perfect time to cozy up with a cup of hot cocoa, a good book, and a soft blanket. But sometimes it’s hard to get cozy when you’re stuck inside all day and your home itself just doesn’t fit the part. If you’re looking for ways to make your home more comfortable this winter, then you’ve come to the right place. In this blog post, we’re going to take a look at four things you can do to get cozier this winter.

1. Get Yourself Cozy

So, for starters, you’re going to want to get cozy. And sure, this can seem like a no-brainer, but it’s often less obvious than you think. If you aren’t feeling cozy, then you need to change that. Invest in some womens thermal socks, put on some cozy pajamas, and focus on items that make you feel cozy. Big blankets and hoodies can help too.

2. Get a Good Rug

Then, you need to move onto your home. Nothing makes a room feel cozier than a warm, plush rug. If your floors are bare or you’re tired of looking at that same old carpet, consider investing in a new rug. Rugs come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, so you’re sure to find one that fits your style. Plus, they’re great for insulating against cold floors.

3. Layer Your Bedding

One of the best things about winter is getting to snuggle up under a pile of blankets. To take your cozy game up a notch, invest in some high-quality bedding and layer it on thick! Start with a fitted sheet and add on a flat sheet, quilt or comforter, blankets, and finally some throw pillows for good measure. You’ll be so cozy you might never want to leave your bed!

4. Add Some Candles

Candles are magical little things that can instantly transform the ambiance of any space. Not to mention, they make it smell like you’ve been baking all day (even if you haven’t). Whether you prefer scented or unscented, candles are an easy way to make any room feel cozier. Just be sure to blow them out before you go to bed!

5. Turn Down the Thermostat

This one might seem counterintuitive, but hear us out. While it’s important to stay warm during the winter months, cranking up the heat can actually make your home feel less cozy. We recommend setting your thermostat somewhere around 68 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and turning it down even lower at night while you’re sleeping. You can always add an extra blanket to your bed if you need it!

Getting Cozy This Winter

There’s nothing quite like curling up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa when it’s cold outside—but sometimes it’s hard to get cozy when your home just doesn’t feel comfortable. If you’re looking for ways to make your space more inviting this winter, try following some (or all!) of these tips. Before you know it, you’ll be nice and cozy in no time!
